A Nebraska Native with a Passion for Helping People Smile
Dr. Mizner grew up in Grand Island, Nebraska, where he learned the values of hard work, faith, and respect for others. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry, Class of 2014, graduating with High Distinction.
His clinical interests include preventive and family dentistry, conservative restorative treatment, cosmetic smile enhancements, orthodontic services such as braces and Invisalign, and patient education to support long-term oral health.
Dr. Mizner believes in empowering his patients with information and options — never rushing, never upselling. His goal is always to do what’s best for each individual’s health, comfort, and long-term wellbeing.

Why Dr. Mizner Started His Own Practice
After years in group and associate practices, Dr. Mizner founded Mizner Family Dental to create a space where patients are known by name, every family member can receive care under one roof, treatment is personalized, and community comes first. His simple vision—to provide authentic, compassionate care that prioritizes people over production—guides every decision, from the office layout to the way patients are welcomed and cared for each day.
Outside the Office
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Mizner enjoys spending time with his wife and children, attending Life Gate Church, and staying active in the Elkhorn community. He also trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, supports local events and small businesses, volunteers in faith-based outreach, and loves talking Husker football with his patients. He strives to set a positive example not just through dentistry, but through leadership, faith, and service.
